This file contains a sequence of test cases for most pattern match test question features.

Each section has a unique (within this test case) three letter code and the
steps are numbered so that the location where a failure occurs can be reported.

Steps are shown in the following format:

XXX01 / U.S1 [change]
  Do something
  - Check something

The unique step number is followed by the user that you should be logged
in as for that step. If the user changes from the previous step, the word
[Change] will be noted.

Some steps don't have specific items to check. In that case, the check
'passes' if there are no errors or warnings while completing the task.


Initial set-up
==============

The test assumes you have the pattern match question type installed and configured.
Ideal you will already have questions created.

It is probably worth having a test course with a 'Pattern Match' question category
set up in its question bank.

Using the "Test this question" feature
To access the "test this question" feature:
access the appropriate test quiz 
    Open
        a question in preview
    Click 
        the "test this question" link in the top right hand corner. 
    Upload
        responses as described in the Upload responses section
    Select
        the checkbox next to each response you wish to grade or click "select all".
    Click
        "Test selected responses"
    Verify
        a mark is added or updated in the "Actual mark" column of each selected grade 
    
Uploading Responses

    Follow
        the procedure for "Using the test this question" feature 
    Click
        "Upload responses"
    Create
        a file containing test responses to upload containing
            a header row containing mark,response
            a series of rows with the human graded mark (expected mark) and response
            separated by a comma e.g. 0,the mass of the oil is less than the water
    Drag the test file into the upload field
    Click
        "Upload the question using these repsonses"

Deleting a response

Using the "Test this question" feature
To access the "test this question" feature:
access the appropriate test quiz 
    Open
        a question in preview
    Click 
        the "test this question" link in the top right hand corner. 
    Upload
        responses as described in the Upload responses section
    Select
        the checkbox next to each response you wish to delete or click "select all".
    Click
        "Test selected responses"
    Verify
        the seleceted responses have been deleted.

Adjusting a response's human mark
=================================
On the "Test this question" page with uploaded responses already computer marked:
    Click on a "Human mark"
        Check change has occured in human mark
        Check overall marks string has also changed
        Check it is possible to click again to reverse this change.
